The Sidr tree -known scientifically as Ziziphus Spina-Christi and revered for centuries across the Arab world- had been used in medicinal and beauty rituals long before modern dermatology had language for what it was doing. Referenced in the Quran, documented across traditional medicine, and trusted across generations, it carried a knowledge that modern science would eventually catch up to.
And yet it remained almost entirely absent from contemporary skincare.
